It's a series of bullets ricocheting that might've been created by Viktor Babushkin.

It may've been originally a Mosfilm sound effect, as it debuted on Operation Y and Shurik's Other Adventures on 16 August 1965. It then would go on to become a Weddington Productions/Technicolor Sound Services and/or Skywalker Sound sound effect to appear on a Lucasfilm production, More American Graffiti on 3 August 1979.

Later, in 2008, The Hollywood Edge added this sound to The Premiere Edition Volume 10 library. After the bankruptcy of The Hollywood Edge in 2014, Sound Ideas took over to acquire this sound.
